Worth the Walk In
Sandwood Bay was where I had asked to spend my birthday this year. When you plan days away in March you have no idea what the weather will offer you, but this day was sensational, crisp, with bright skies and views all round. A day a mass inspiration given by the amazing views all around me and spent with my husband.
Sandwood Bay is about 4 -5 miles away from the road end, but at the end of the path is a beach surrounded by beautiful, cliffs, rock formations, a stack and of course the beach. We arrived at low tide to amazing water patterns left behind on the beach near where the river runs into the sea, the reflections from the blue of the sky glimmering on these puddles. The combination of this and the warm red hue from the sand was just amazing. Definitely worth the walk in.
