I Spy Eigg
I Spy Eigg
Growing up in Fort Willam a trip to the beach meant visiting the Arisaig and Morar areas. As a teenager we would take the train there with bikes to spend the day.
My husband grew up having annual holidays here his family loving this place so much that we still go here at least annually if not more regularly and with good reason. It is stunning. Softly, relaxingly so. Small curves of silver white beaches and little islands leading to the views of the Hebrides beyond.
This picture depicts part of the road from Arisaig to Rhu. Another of those great little roads with passing places, and many, many twists and turns. As you travel away from Arisaig the Isle of Eigg sits in the distance on the horizon. Here it just peeks through at a bend in the road. A road much walked, ran and cycled over the years.
A place loved so much one of our dogs is named after it. My beautiful boy Rhu.
