Ward Hill Croft
Ward Hill Croft – Hoy
The croft depicted here is just as the road turns to Rackwick Bay. So, it became a turning made regularly. More so because there was a nesting pair of Sea Eagles in the cliffs above the Dwarfie Stane which we went to see through binoculars on a regular basis. We would watch them swoop above the cliffs in awe of there size and just the fact that they were there at all. So this croft caught my attention and the line of Ward Hill behind to the point that I made a sketch and a piece of art from it. Often it is the things that we see again and again that become the things that we are inspired by.
